at the nwa plane to LA; claudia, the kind italian lady who told me their wonderful trips & gave me a taffy from china that i haven't eaten still
first ride in LA; tito larry's old home in LA; buying gas, have to learn how to fill gas by myself; bunch of cheap dvd's at the costco super store. i found the 2 seasons of arrested development here for $26 each. i'm still deciding if i'll buy it.

mica driving an SUV at 17!; a quick snapshot at melrose; paramount pictures. i heard this is never open to the public..darn; this is melrose, there's alot of thrift shops here (ukay-ukay) but still are quite expensive
cousin mica on the phone. everyone in LA is almost always using their cellphones; a very nice indian lady at a cool store in melrose. she offered almost 70% off on all the zippo lighters i inquired of (she said she likes filipinos) . the lowest price she gave was $22 which is still too expensive for a lighter.

driving to universal studios. the coffe bean is very popular in LA. you can see this coffee shop all over the place; i forgot the name of the hospital but this is where madonna gave birth to one of her children (was it the good samaritan hosp?)

kingkong; i often see this set on movies. One movie i remember that used this set was the 'big fat liar'; we almost got wet when they turned on the water gush props; one of the 'war of the worlds' set. i have a better shot from my cellphone. i'll upload a better picture of the set when i get back to manila
the tram stopped by this swamp to show us a shark engulfing a human mannequin. blood floated in the waters afterwards. we were told this was where some of the JAWS movie shoots were made; a huge house from the 'desperate housewives' set. they were to do a shoot that afternoon; the set from 'the grinch'
back home. kayla & tito carlo; kayla w/ daddy jason; kayla w/ mommy lynn; i finally got to see & chat a little w/ my cousin macky. he was almost always out!
