rayne's 1st 3 months

it kinda took me a little bit long to post my baby's monthly bdays. just recently she had her 3rd month and everyday i'm taken by surprise on how big and colorful she has become. on her 'monthly bday's', i always see to it that she has a cake and ofcourse the usual, noodles (whatever mix). she had spaghetti for her 1st, pancit malabon for her 2nd, then fettucini carbonara for her 3rd. i wonder what'll be next!! i guess you'll really never know that you have to celebrate (& spend at) your baby's monthly 'b-day' when you HAVE your own baby. Here's some pics from her 1st.

these are from her 2nd month.

we celebrate it every 23rd of the month. it gives us something to look forward to every month.

grave (yard) thoughts

i'm in the graveyard shift, hence the title ahehe. i forgot to brag about rye's fabulous adobe photoshop design of our daughter's photos. it's a cascade of rayne's funniest & cutest snapshots.

notice how everything else but rayne is in black & white?

great job darling!

before i go home, i really want to share this. i've seen the movie 'crash' about a month ago. it was one of the best movies i've seen since American History X. it speaks bluntly about racism & how it was delivered was amazing! don't get mistaken by the title. it's about A Brentwood housewife and her DA husband. A Persian store owner. Two police detectives who are also lovers. An African-American television director and his wife. A Mexican locksmith. Two car-jackers. A rookie cop. A middle-aged Korean couple... They all live in Los Angeles. And during the next 36 hours, they will all collide...

... it will definitely make you cry, especially by the ending. the first lines immediately made my jaw drop. there was total silence when i watched this movie (in DVD). it sent chills down my spine, my heart kept pounding & every scene were so unpredictable. the cast ensemble was extraordinary, all the actors play lead. sandra bullock & the rest's acting diversity were so refined you'll love it! another thing that caught my attention was the heart-rending soundtrack. i have here a sample audio of the song 'in the deep' by the 'bird york'. this song made me burst in tears mixed together with the sensational scenes.

watch it. i bet you'll have everyone you know see it as well.

my 'not' first pay out

i'm not even excited to see my first (again) payslip since i got back from my leave. it would include 2 punches from my training (ITIL) last week. It should be worth enough to cover a week of work for me. but alas ofcourse, i got nothin'. everything that accounting could deduct from the teeny penny I earned, they did. it's only then i realized i had to pay monthly (or every payday), the 20T c-section surgery expenses i had so cheerfully reimbursed from the company. not the whole 20T but a 3rd of it. only then also that i found out i'm paying my beneficiaries health benefits (which ofcourse was a fact already, i just inadverdently forgot). but then...apart from all the "duh? where did my money go?" stuff, there's plenty to cheer about. the company is providing us several allowances which are so so pleasant to see in our current payslips. they are the ff:
clothing allowance for 115.38 pesos per payday
laundry allowance for 138.46 pesos per payday
daily meal allowance for 687.50 pesos per payday (most likely covers the whole 3 meals a day)
medicine allowance for 57.69 pesos per payday
rice allowance for 461.54 pesos per payday
shift transpo allowance for 100.00 pesos per payday
on my work today, i saw a dozen of kids walking near t.sora wearing black shirts. and yeah ofcourse, its obvious they came from the infamous UP FESTIVAL 'fair as known'. that was almost 0630 in the morning. i glanced w/ envy at these people coz i was supposed to have attended this event. i thought i would never miss any UP fairs but now i did. 3 college kids rode the same jeepney i was riding. i so wanted to chitchat with them but i did not have the guts. i miss being young...sigh....
i'm preparing to post my daughter's baptism. lemme just get everything ready. i'll be posting alot of pics in there so stay tuned everyone!
by the way, to those people who have commented on my first post, thanks! i hope i do not bore anyone who happens to pass by.

V-day

this is my first time to blog & I do promise to myself to update this thing i've setup for as long as I have Internet! hehe.
it's v-day and the fools are celebrating. not that i'm not a fan of 'the day', it just represents to me a reminder of others' (i consider myself lucky) solitude appearing to be a disease in this society. unwelcomed in this celebration, i tend to accompany them. i do inside am eager to receive a flower from rye but since it never occured, i never asked.
anyway, i have other things i want to celebrate today. my boss ian called me to his office (fretting to get scolded for building a blogsite rather than working! ahehehe). i received a few wonderful news (i got jitters). he gave me P1000.00 for me baby; he wanted to make sure i was adjusting well; making sure too that my kid's alright at home; that i can talk to alvin if i need any changes in my erratic sched; that i will be replacing maui as the noc magic admin (nothin' new); and here's the most amazing part, that he had formed a position heirarchy for the heldepsk where i now belonged to the 'senior helpdesk analyst'...woohooo! and that means a raise (not too petty at all!).
sighhh (w/ a happy tone)...i guess i'm ready to get home to my baby
