got off work, supposedly headed to my bro's band's gig, fallen oppression, play at the cuerdas bar in pasig. still early, i went to megamall first to find a gift for my kumare's kid sway's birthday the next day. i ended up buying the gift, brand new black stilleto shoes & clothes for my own kid. i met up w/ alex at megamall & patiently waited to hear from my bro if they were at the bar already. as we left the mall, i got the call from sam that my bro's band backed out from the gig & were already at the meat shop. so to meat shop we went. apparently, there were 30 bands scheduled to play that night, & they were the 17th, ouch.
at the meat shop, ariel (chicosci), jeff, his gf ona, sam & my bro were already there. yey!, doing the math, meathsop = rhum + coke + bbq. hehe.
by the way, they will play at mayrics alongswith slapshock on wednesday, august 13. ian said miggy (chicosci's vocalist), will play vocals. unfortunately, i won't be there..i have work at night *:(

the other guitarist bjorn arrived later, sporting that aussie cut hehe. he's flying to australia next week. aaron from ams will sub for him; sam & alex & bob (ian's bestfriend)
ona & jeff; w/ paul, a longtime friend who was coincidentally at meat shop as well. part-owner of the king habibu sisig resto at anonas (inendorse ba hehe)
situated very obscurely across meat shop is an underground bar named kampay (or campai. you won't see the bar's name upfront even). after paying our orders at meat shop, we headed there around 3am. we immediately felt at home when we arrived. a pearl jam album is being played & everyone was singing along. every local rock band were just a hindsight from where we were, chatting, laughing & drunk hehe.
